The entirety of Field Studies Vol. 1 was recorded while immersed in desert nature. Each morning in January I hiked into the mountains of Joshua Tree with a small assortment of electronic instruments. During each sunrise I improvised an ambient sketch inspired by the natural beauty that I was observing. Vol. 1 is 10 of these sketches, further edited and cleaned up into more digestible chunks.
